Hard Boiled Eggs

This recipe takes about 25-30 minutes

Ingredients
Eggs
Cold water

Equipment
Fairly deep pot (deep enough to cover eggs with an inch of water) with lid
Stove

Procedure
  1. Gently put the eggs in the pot
  2. Fill the pot with cold water until the water is deeper than the eggs by about an inch
  3. Cover the pot and cook over high heat just until the water boils
  4. As soon as the water boils, turn off the heat and let the eggs sit in the hot water, covered, for 10 minutes
  5. Drain the hot water from the pot and fill the pot with cold water. Add a handful of ice cubes and let sit until the eggs are cool.
  6. Dry eggs off and eat or refrigerate
